Kata is the architect whose story ties with the Croatian island of Hvar. Her father-in-law lovingly calls her Kota, a local dialect twist on her name that, by coincidence, also means "dimension" in architecture.
That one word sparked the name of her new studio kota.kota. A name that’s deeply personal, yet perfectly aligned with her profession.
Kota also echoes terracotta, her favourite color and the foundation of the warm, grounded brand identity we at Emtisquare crafted for her and her team.
kota.kota is built around a strong typographic logo supported by a minimal logo mark. The wordmark uses a refined serif typeface, giving the brand a calm, confident, and timeless character, while the standalone “K” mark allows for flexible use across applications.
The color palette is warm and grounded, combining soft neutrals with terracotta tones inspired by natural materials. These choices create a sense of warmth, tactility, and authenticity, and work consistently across print, digital, and physical touchpoints.
The overall look and feel is minimal, quiet, and considered. Generous whitespace, simple compositions, and natural textures allow the brand to breathe and feel approachable, while maintaining a premium and well-crafted presence.
